the location is excellent for our needs and we stayed there before with our kids over 20 years ago when it was the Summit. So nostalgia played a part too !!!

i wish there was free internet wireless service in the rooms

The location is great! Good buisness room. The room was comfortable but it can be improved - the carpet was really cheap looking (black and brown)...etc

very nice and clean! The elevators were excellent---fast and efficient! the beds were very comfortable--showers and bathroom very nice----we loved our stay and will definitely come back!!!

The hotel is in an excellent location, convenient to everything (walking distance) with subway station just outside the door. Room was spacious, clean, & comfortable (more spacious than most NY hotels). Staff was courteous & helpful. We had a problem with the heater, & someone came immediately to fix it. Cafe Metro, just outside the front door, was perfect for breakfast. Comfortable beds, nice TV.

Considering the price of the rooms, it did not seem appropriate to charge $2 per bag to hold luggage for a few hours after check-out.

Room was clean, comfortable, and well-priced for a 3 day shopping stay. Our room provided everything we needed. Good concierge facility allowing us to leave bags after checkout to collect later and arrange a car to the airport. Staff pleasant and courteous. Location a short walk from all the major mid-town sights and 5th Ave shopping. Nice cafe just next door for breakfast. Would stay there again.

Tea and coffee making facilities in the room would have been useful, but a minor point.

The location and staff were excellent

A kettle in bedrooms would be a great facility....it's something we are used to having in Irish hotels. The room rate changed 3 times during our stay...which is a little baffling!! Also, it would be useful if at least the room rate could be paid on booking. this would be helpful for non-US residents, for whom the Dollar/Euro/Sterling exchange rate matters so much.

The facilities available,

On checking out the room staff failed to acknowledge me promptly. There are snacks that are charged, electronically to your room, if moved from a tray on the dressing table. Double checking the bill prevented me from being charged for items not taken.
