The Fairmont Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten is a Grand Hotel in the European tradition and offers an experience rich in spectacular historic charm and fine luxury.

The rooms in the Vier Jahreszeiten were renovated in 2008 and feature a fresh, creative design with attention to detail. Finest materials and lively colours create a comfortable setting. All rooms are equipped with the latest technical amenities such as an espresso machine, flat-screens TVs, free wireless Internet access and free video on demand.

In addition to impeccable service and luxurious accommodation, here you’ll find some of Germany’s finest restaurants, such as the Michelin-star Haerlin Restaurant or Doc Cheng´s with its combined Asian and European influences.

Hotel information

The hotel offers a Spa and Fitness Club for relaxation and rejuvenation. Ancient rituals of Ayurveda are featured alongside modern spa therapies. The spa facilities include a sauna, steam bath, solarium and relaxation area with music headsets. The fitness studio is fully-equipped with a wide range of weights and apparatus.

The hotel offers five different rooms for conferences and meetings, which can be arranged according to your needs. All the rooms have air conditioning and are equipped with audio visual equipment.

Food & beverage

Here you can dine in the Michelin-star Haerlin Restaurant or the Euro-Asian inspired Doc Cheng´s.

The Jahreszeiten Bar, spaced out over two levels, is located right next to the entrance of the restaurant and gives a beautiful view of the Alster. Here you will find an extensive drinks menu, including all classic and international cocktails as well as a fine selection of rare spirits.

On the Jahreszeiten terrace, you will be served with small snacks and select, delicious dishes.

Each of the rooms and suites has its own individual flair and most give a breathtaking view of the Inner Alster Lake, which is a real highlight.

This was my second stay at the Fairmont Vier Jahreszeiten. I stayed there last December, for the first time and it ruined me for any other hotel for ever and ever!

Yes, one thing: They do need to get a lift, elevator (even perhaps, for the time being until they can figure out where to put those, a chair lift) for the front entrance. Besides myself who, at 78, has trouble with stairs, I noticed many elderly guests, some even with walkers, and wondered how on earth they managed to get up the entrance stairs.

I have known this hotel for more than 50 years. It has always been one of the world's finest hotels and remains so. It has great character, a wonderful location, extreme comfort and the best and most personal service to be found.
