This hotel and hostel is located in the heart of Hamburg, just a few minutes’ walk from the bus station and railway station, and enjoys excellent public transport connections.

The central location of A&O City Hauptbahnhof allows you to conveniently get to Hamburg’s main attractions. It is situated directly between the Speicherstadt world-heritage sandstone building complex, and new HafenCity harbour area. It offers a view of the harbour, the wonderful Mönckebergstraße shopping street, as far as the Inner Alster lake.

Relax in the recreational area with its pool tables, table football and computer game consoles. Enjoy a refreshing drink at the Astra Bar.

The friendly and competent staff are happy to provide tips and suggestions for day-trips, and also assist you in booking tickets for shows, tours and events. In the lobby area you will find a souvenir shop and an internet terminal.

This building is a former warehouse which was once used to store goods from all over the world.

A breakfast buffet is available from 07:00 to 10:00, Monday to Friday, and from 08:00 to 11:00 at weekends.

Room information

In order to meet the individual needs of our guests, we provide both hotel and hostel rooms, which are located on different levels.

The single and twin rooms are ideal for both business travellers and holidaymakers. Family rooms for adults with children are also available.

The hostel area mostly consists of multi-bed rooms, providing larger groups with affordable accommodation.

- until 8 weeks prior to arrival date free of charge
- from 55 days to 5 days prior to arrival date 50% of the agreed total price
- from 4 to 2 days prior to arrival date 75% of the agreed total price
- one day prior to arrival date 90% of the agreed total price

We will debit 50% of the agreed total price 8 weeks or less than 8 weeks before arrivel from your credit card.

the rooms are new and really nice

it was not easy to find it, its really close to the Hauptbahnhof but very complicated the instructions

staff were friendly & helpfull. Room & BR was new & modern (3 bunks), reasonably large, and clean. Breakfast good value. Noise not bad.

floors1&2 are Hostel, halls have guests loud & dirty, floors 3&4 are hotel & nice.

The flowers on the tables in the breakfast room, the kindness of the staff and their availability. For the rest, we've left early in the morning and got back quite late, for noticing other things.
